Lessons
Lessons take place in my home studio in Clawson. Each student is provided the use of a laptop computer, interactive software, and electronic keyboard for use during the lesson. Because the software is interactive, each student is able to progress at his or her own rate. Achievement depends on motivation, ability and time spent on at home practice. Ten minutes a day is all a beginner needs to make good progress.
I offer private and small group lessons. With private instruction, students receive one-on-one instruction and guidance. In small group lessons, (ideal for siblings) students work independently at their own station then rotate to the grand piano when they have completed all 6 levels.

The program presents new information incrementally, so students are never overwhelmed, and they have the satisfaction of being able to play authentic songs with ease, usually from the very first lesson!
The use of technology provides instant feedback for correct practicing and encourages self-directed learning. So even if a parent doesn't play the piano, the student will be able to practice correctly at home.
Theory, sight reading, and ear training are also learned through hands-on, interactive games.
